Survey Setup & Data Acquisition: Combining a USV and ROV
Put an ROV below the surface and a USV on the surface, and something amazing happens to your survey capabilities: you can access previously unreachable areas and gain deeper insights into sites that traditional vessel-based systems simply cannot reach.
In this talk Artur and Owen walks through the combination that actually delivers. Not the theory, but the real results! Where the accuracy gains show up, how much subsea data quality improves once the two systems talk to each other, and what it means for cost, safety and the hours spent offshore.

How a small USV enables SYNCRO to work in shallow waters
Conventional ROV surveys depend on large, deep draft vessels, and that is exactly why shallow and nearshore water has always been so difficult and expensive to inspect. SYNCRO gets around that by working from a small, uncrewed surface vessel (USV) instead. The HydroSurv REAV-60 sits high in the water with a shallow draft, launches and recovers SYNCRO through a custom LARS, and follows it throughout the survey to handle power, positioning and communications

Live demo from the Remote Operations Centre (ROC)
On the day, we’ll run a live photogrammetry build straight from our Remote Operations Centre, using the Voyis stereo camera to capture a subsea structure and reconstruct it in 3D as you watch. You’ll follow the full workflow as it happens: the stereo camera capturing imagery, an operator running everything remotely from shore, and the model taking shape on screen piece by piece. It’s the clearest way to see how remote, uncrewed operations produce survey grade 3D data, with no one in the field.

How ROV autonomy is redefining subsea inspection
Manual piloting has always capped how consistent and repeatable a subsea inspection can be. Mike Gallo shows how ROV autonomy lifts that ceiling — letting the vehicle run inspection routines on its own for faster acquisition and more consistent data, campaign after campaign. A clear look at where autonomous inspection is heading, and what it already delivers for oil, gas and offshore wind operators today.

How FIGS gives you as an opperator cleaner and better data
Corrosion is quietly threatening the assets we all depend on. For decades, checking cathodic protection meant slow, contact-based surveys, stabbing structure and anode to confirm they were still protected. FIGS has “rewritten” that approach, reading the electric field gradients in the seawater itself to measure corrosion and cathodic protection without ever touching the structure, buried or exposed.
In this talk, Leiv Grytten takes you from the traditional methods of the past to the non-contact sensing defining subsea integrity today, and most importantly what this means to the assessment rapport!

A whole new type of vehicle opens up a whole new set of possibilities when it comes to inspecting shallow water pipelines and power cables.
We’re shipping the ROV all the way from Norway just so we can show it to you on the 10th of September. The SYNCRO is built specifically for shallow water and strong currents.
