Syncro

Pipleline survey ROV

Syncro is built for
shallow water pipeline survey operations

Shallow water pipeline and cable survey

With Syncro, you receive clear, objective reports that show the exact condition of your pipelines and cables. Precise measurements that reveal which sections need attention and which are performing as they should. This clarity lets you plan maintenance strategically, justify budget decisions with solid evidence, and manage asset integrity with genuine confidence.

Every inspection delivers detailed documentation of wall thickness, coating condition, structural integrity, and precise positioning data. You know exactly where issues exist, how severe they are, and what priority they require. When a report identifies coating damage at a specific point, you have the visual evidence, measurements, and location data needed to assess the risk and plan the response. This transforms reactive maintenance into proactive asset management, addressing problems before they become critical failures.

Syncro’s survey deliverables include high-resolution video footage, annotated images, detailed measurement logs, and comprehensive written reports that meet industry standards. Each anomaly is documented with visual evidence and precise coordinates, making it easy to track changes over time and verify that repairs address the actual issues found. The reports are designed to support regulatory compliance, budget approvals, and operational decision making.

With a proven track record of conducting inspections according to international regulations and standards, Syncro eliminates the need for larger inspection class ROVs while delivering the same professional results. Operators in shallow water environments benefit from significant cost savings without compromising on data quality or inspection thoroughness. The system has successfully completed pipeline and cable surveys across various conditions, consistently delivering reliable data that clients trust for critical asset management decisions.

Syncro Uses Precision Technology for Reliable Survey Data

Leaves no pipeline sections uninspected

The Voyis system creates a continuous 3D point cloud or fotomosaik as Syncro moves along your assets. If a section isn’t in the 3D model, it wasn’t inspected, it’s that simple. This gives both you and us absolute certainty that your entire pipeline route, every weld, every support, and every connection has been documented. No guesswork about whether the pilot covered everything.

Provides clear imagery despite poor visibility

Syncro`s Orphiecam system extends viewing distance by three times compared to conventional underwater cameras, delivering sharp imagery in turbid conditions where standard cameras show only vague shapes. Real-time image processing cuts through backscatter and sediment, revealing structural details invisible to traditional cameras. In shallow water operations where sediment challenges are constant, Orphiecam is the difference between looking at your assets and actually seeing them clearly.

Pinpoints exact anode and coating defect locations.

Syncro operates with two FiGS® sensors mounted at the rear. By using dual sensors, the system triangulates the exact position of anodes and coating defects, not just detecting electrical activity but pinpointing precisely where it comes from. This configuration gives you accurate coordinates for every anode, coating defect, and current drain point. Your reports show exactly where issues are located, not approximate areas, giving you actionable data for targeted intervention planning.

Replacing GPS Below the Surface

GPS doesn’t work underwater. Subsonus provides acoustic positioning with ±100mm accuracy at close range and ±500mm at 1000 meters depth. Every measurement gets precise coordinates – when your report shows coating damage at a specific location, your maintenance team can return to that exact spot. Engineers design repairs with confidence, and year-over-year comparisons track the same locations. Accurate positioning makes survey data actionable.

All-in-One Navigation

SPRINT-Nav Mini combines four navigation systems into one compact unit, telling us exactly where the ROV is, which direction it’s facing, how fast it’s moving, and how deep it is. The system integrates a depth sensor, built-in gyrocompass, accelerometer, and DVL (Doppler Velocity Log) that measures both ROV velocity and water current speed. With only 5cm error per 100 meters travelled, every measurement we take gets pinpoint accurate coordinates attached to it.

Multibeam mapping NORBIT

We use Norbit’s advanced multibeam system operated from our USV because it delivers the precision and efficiency our subsea operations demand. The WBMS X provides high-resolution bathymetric data and real-time 3D imaging from the surface vessel, enabling us to conduct detailed seabed surveys with exceptional accuracy. Norbit’s compact and lightweight design integrates seamlessly with our USV platform, allowing us to perform comprehensive hydrographic surveys without the need for large survey vessels.

Navigating Through Poor Visibility

The Tritech Gemini 1200ikd multibeam sonar provides precise navigation and obstacle detection during subsea operations. The system delivers clear acoustic imaging of structures and surroundings, enabling safe and accurate ROV positioning throughout inspections. You receive reliable navigation data that ensures complete coverage of your assets, giving you confidence that every section has been properly surveyed.

Seabed profiling

We use Impact Subsea’s profiling sonar to locate the top of pipelines and maintain centered positioning during survey operations. In shallow waters where visibility is often compromised by sediment and turbidity, this sonar delivers clear acoustic imaging of the pipeline profile. The system enables precise pipeline detection and tracking even when buried or covered by marine growth, working reliably in zero-visibility conditions where cameras are ineffective. The profiling sonar ensures we stay accurately centered over the pipeline route regardless of water clarity or seabed conditions, providing complete coverage and consistent positioning throughout every survey.

Make good strategic decisions

Get clear surveydata with Syncro

Syncro delivers exceptionally accurate inspection data because we’ve invested in professional grade technology at every level. Our navigation systems provide positioning accuracy ensuring every measurement gets reliable coordinates.

Advanced sonar systems enable complete structural coverage and precise obstacle detection during operations. Specialized imaging technology cuts through poor visibility to reveal structural details that conventional cameras miss.

Our dual sensor configuration triangulates exact positions of defects and components, giving you specific coordinates rather than approximate areas. Acoustic positioning systems replace GPS underwater with millimeter-level accuracy, meaning you can return to exact locations for maintenance work.

We perform shallow water operations with Otter USV

Beyonc delivers survey services using an unmanned surface vessel, eliminating the need for deep-draft support vessels required for traditional ROV operations. This enables professional surveys in shallow waters where conventional vessels cannot operate. You get the same quality reports and data accuracy as large-scale operations, without vessel draft limitations or logistical complexity.

Shallow water pipeline survey

Beyonc holds Level 3 qualification for subsea inspection services, meeting the industry’s highest standards for pipeline and structural surveys. This qualification validates our inspection procedures, personnel competence, and quality management systems against rigorous API requirements. Our Level 3 status means your inspection reports meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices, giving you documentation you can confidently submit to authorities and stakeholders. Professional qualification matters when asset integrity decisions depend on the data.
